Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation in Socotra under presidency of Sultan Ali Essa bin Afrar in addition to members of the Committee with the Director General of Dexam Power and Water Technology, Engineer Yasser Al Aani, conducted a field visit to Rokab and Shazher in addition to number of eastern coastline villages. The Committee conducted an initial concept for the power generators for people of these districts to solve power problems.
Director General of Dexam Power and Water Technology highlighted that people of these districts would benefit from power services stating that the Foundation would provide these districts with power generators to complete connection of electricity to all of these districts.
Socotra Online was present to reflect feedback of people and sheikhs. Salem Daheq, Member of Development Committee mentioned that this visit was in line with responding to needs of people to end their suffering from lack of electricity. He also commended role of the United Arab Emirates and Officials at Khalifa Foundation to make people of Socotra happy.
Sheikh Abdullah Hawash Ahmed expressed his deep gratitude to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for their effort in helping people of Socotra in all fields, especially electricity.
Salem Hawash Ahmed, Former Director General of Environment Protection, commended the great effort by the United Arab Emirates, and thanked Khalifa Foundation for its continuous support to people of Socotra in all fields.
Ahmed Amer Abdullah from Shadher expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation for the great effort.
