After 5 months of suspension due to seasonal wind, farmers of Socotra resumed their work of farming in different areas and villages. Farmers started preparation of their gardens for the stage of seeds.
Agriculture is one of the main and necessary professions for human. People of Socotra always concerned with agriculture, as it had many benefits including arrangement of food for people in fair prices.
Socotra Online had an interview with “Taib bin Saad”, who was considered as leader of farmers in Qalansiyah. He highlighted that season of agriculture in Socotra would start on the first third of October in line with beginning of season of rain. It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation concerned with supporting farmers in different agriculture seasons in addition to promoting products.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation implemented number of campaigns in agriculture sector to control palm weevil.
