Dr. Zoya, a faculty member at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates, visited Socotra University, and she was welcomed by Dr. Nadim Al-Azaibi, the President of Socotra University, the deans of the faculties, and a number of faculty members.
The topics of the lecture delivered by Dr. Zoya on the importance and role of social media in our private lives included our professional and private lives, its importance in promoting our skills and our business, and its benefits for entrepreneurs.
Zoya went on to explain the most widely used social media, namely WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Zoya presented examples of social media celebrities and how they use these means to promote themselves, their countries and their businesses by working on content that attracts them to a greater number of followers in various social media and the financial returns that accrue to them, which contributed to changing their material lives.
The lecture, which was attended by 80 students and faculty members, concluded with great interaction among the participants.
