The Directorate of Qalansiyah and Abdul-Kuri in Socotra Governorate witnessed an extensive consultative meeting to discuss the necessary needs of service and development projects.
The meeting, represented by the local authority of the Directorate and the Development Committee, concerned with the most important requirements of the Directorate of service projects, especially basic and development ones, that contribute to the advancement of the Directorate to meet the aspirations of its children for a developed future at various levels.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Socotra, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, the first representative of the governorate, Raed Al-Juraibi, the head of the Development Committee Sultan Ali Issa bin Afrar, the official of the engineering management of the institution, Eng. In the local authority and the Transitional Council to implement vital projects in the district of Qalansiyah befitting its environmental privacy and the beauty of its nature for a dignified life.
The director of the directorate, Issa Saeed Mohammed, reviewed a matrix of priority requirements for the directorate, which touches on the needs of its people in several service and development areas, where its implementation helps to solve all forms of suffering that they faced during the previous periods.
While the head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, called on the sons of Qalansiyah to adhere to the unity of the class and the word and to facilitate the tasks for the supporting parties to play their humanitarian and developmental role to create a new reality for the Directorate of prosperity, stability and decent living in which all the requirements of modern life are met.
Al-Thaqali expressed his permanent thanks to the efforts of the brothers in the UAE for the continuous support they provide to the archipelago in general and their keenness to bring about real change in the various sectors, especially the service ones, which are related to the daily lives of the people.
Raed Al-Juraibi, First Undersecretary of the Government, indicated that the secret of the directorate’s advancement lies in unifying the word and giving priority to the public interest and working together to facilitate the work of the Khalifa Foundation, which is a major artery for the directorate in providing support and financing vital projects needed by Qalansiyah and its residents.
The head of the Development Committee, Sultan Ali Issa bin Afrar, said that our visit to Qalansiyah Directorate today comes as part of a series of public meetings that we are carrying out in several areas on the island with the people to listen and learn about their most important service and development requirements to be included in the institution’s plan to work on its implementation.
The meeting listened to several inputs from sheikhs, dignitaries and the people of Qalansiyah about their most urgent and most prominent requirements, who in turn appreciated all the efforts made in such dialogue meetings that touch the reality of the Socotri citizen.
