In line with the developmental projects in Electricity sector in the Socotra Archipelago, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation worked on establishment of the new Adnoc Power Station in the capital Hadiboh with 7 MW capacity to cover the shortage of the previous station due to increased consumption by the citizens, especially during the summer.

Engineer Zyad Abdullah Sultan, Official of Underground Cables Department at Dexim Power and Water Technology, assured that the new station would be a great promotion to improve electricity service because of increased stress on the previous station. He added that the Company would complete the new station with 7 MW in addition to 4 generators and 4 breakers to cover the capital Hadiboh, Mosaqbahen, Qashaihen and Al Abar Maanofa. He assured that the field teams worked on operating the station as soon as possible in coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, and it would commence operating during the next week.

Sultan said that the official at the Foundation and the implementing company followed-up the progress and were concerned with quick completion.

This station is the main station in the capital Hadiboh and the third to be established with UAE support in Hadiboh to secure needs for the capital in addition to the neighboring districts and villages.

It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation adopted development of Electricity sector in the Socotra Archipelago in order to meet people needs around the clock for free.
