With the first days of the holy month of Ramadan, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation proceeded with initiative of distribution of food baskets to people of the engaging community of Socotra in UAE.
Many people of Socotra residing in the United Arab Emirates benefited from the Ramadan Mer, which was an integrated food basket including several essentials. In turn, they expressed their appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for this humanitarian initiative during this holy month, as this would contribute provision of food requirements for people of Socotra in the United Arab Emirates.
This Ramadan Mer project (one basket for every family) is one of the biggest and most important projects of Khalifa Foundation to support families with low income, orphans and people inside and outside the UAE.
It is worth noting that this initiative is an extension of initiatives and projects by the Foundation in coincidence of the holy month of Ramadan.
