Emergency Department in Khalifa Hospital in Socotra is a Medical and Humanitarian Duty

Emergency departments in governmental and private hospitals are one of the most important feature of advance and development in medical field. Visitor may get many impressions about the medical level in addition to the level of professionalism.

Emergency Department in Sheikh Khalifa Hospital is one of the high-quality medical departments as it provides medical and humanitarian services that the visitors appreciate in general. It receives about 150 to 200 patients a day. It was expanded and supported with new developed devices by the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation.

Doctor Assistant Amar Yahia Abdullah, Head of Emergency Department, assured that the building was prepared with developed and new medical devices with support of Khalifa Foundation. It included several departments to receive patients from centers across the Island. The building consists of reception and four rooms including consultant room, general doctors’ room, specialist room and inpatient in addition to small operations room, recovery room, pharmacy, and nurses’ rest room.

Dr. Sadam Khalid, Alternate Doctor in Emergency Department, said that the Hospital received all traffic accidents and other patients. The Hospital provides the patients with high-quality medical services, since it is a humanitarian duty.

In this regard, the team of emergency praised the effort of the United Arab Emirates for the support to the health sector in the Socotra Archipelago.

In turn, we appreciate the role of the teams of Emergency Department including doctors, nurses and ambulance teams as they perform their works properly, which positively affect the reputation of the Hospital.
