Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation contracted with teachers from Egypt to fill the gap of the teaching staff in the Socotra Archipelago in addition to teachers from Socotra. The Egyptian teachers afforded all possible efforts to promote education and support students of Socotra. Furthermore, Khalifa Foundation provided all possibilities to facilitate assignments of the teachers, which would be positively reflected on education in Socotra.
Socotra Online met group of Egyptian teachers to reflect their feedback on the island and people of Socotra. Mr. Ibrahim Al Mursi thanked Khalifa Foundation for the opportunity to recognize the island and its unique nature, as Socotra had several unique plant and land features, for which people came from all countries around the world to visit.
Mr. Sameh Mohamed mentioned that Socotra had kind people with unique manners that looked like their unique nature. He added that he would not feel as a foreigner in Socotra, as the people treat others based on fraternity relationship.
Mr. Adel Khalaf mentioned that Khalifa Foundation afforded all possible efforts to promote education and support students of Socotra by establishment of schools, improvement of curriculum, and provision of computer and English courses. Furthermore, Khalifa Foundation worked on provision of private tutoring for secondary school students to help them in their academic subjects.
Ms. Nahed Mohamed Salem, teacher at Ataya Model School, mentioned that she has been in Socotra for 2 years and she felt comfort and enjoyed quiet and unique nature of Socotra as well as felt safe for the kindness of the people of Socotra. She also thanked Khalifa Foundation for the opportunity of visiting the island and recognizing its unique nature.
