Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation distributed 5,000 seedlings of various kinds of trees, vegetables and fruits for free to motivate farmers in the east of Socotra.
This was in line with concern of Khalifa Foundation with support to the agriculture sector in Socotra as well as motivating farmers to continue in such career and supporting the local market with fruits and vegetables.
Engineer Eyad Ali Nasher mentioned that distribution of these 5,000 seedlings including tomatoes, pepper and other types for free to farmers in the east of Socotra including Deshas, Kam and other location with presence of the people of these locations would contribute to spreading the agricultural techniques. He added that this distribution was with support of Khalifa Foundation to support agriculture in Socotra and motivate farmers.
