The completion of the strategic road, Haibaq, by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation was largely appreciated by group of officials and people in Socotra, who expressed their thanks to their brothers in the United Arab Emirates.
Socotra Online witnessed the Director Deputy of Traffic Department in the Governorate, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Morshid, passing by with his car from Haibaq road, who said that the road was very important to Socotra as it linked the capital Hadiboh with the airport and the Headquarters of the First Brigade Marines in addition to the western, central and southern regions and Qalansiyah. He commended the role of the United Arab Emirates, which worked night and day until the opening of the road, which was blocked due to the tropical depression, Bhavan.
He expressed his thanks to His Excellency Sheikh Khalfan Al Mazroui, who worked on providing developmental and humanitarian support in the Socotra Archipelago.
