Dexim Power started the first phase of connection of the underground cable for the west coast in Socotra.
An official at Dexim Power highlighted that the first phase started after launching preparation for Zayed Station 4 –Year of Tolerance in Alama. The current phase of underground cable connection from Station 4 –Year of Tolerance in Alama to Sheikh Zayed would be 5km length and would be followed with the second phase from the station to Salmaho. He said that this was carried out in line with the plan developed by the Company and supported by Khalifa Foundation to connect power to all districts in Socotra. It was worth noting that the Company opened a line that provided electricity to the Dar Al Aitam and Qashaihen. The people largely welcomed and appreciated these works after years of waiting.
