Dexim Power completes Excavation Works and extends the Main Underground Cables for Alama Station

The excavation works and extension of the main underground cables for Sheikh Zayed Station 4 –Year of Tolerance in Alama, were being carried out at accelerated rate, since it would cover the needs of the people of the west coast areas, starting from Dahim to Salmho. The station was being constructed with support of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

Engineer Ahmed Adel, Spokesperson of Dexim Power, completed the excavation works for high-voltage cables for the station in the east and west areas, and the underground cables were extended. The backfilling works were being carried out in addition to the works relating to protection of the cables to avoid damages during rain.

He said that the team worked hard at accelerated rate in order to complete the work at the determined time. He added that upon completing the works of high-voltage cables, the second phase relating to low-voltage cables would start.

It was worth noting that the power connection sector witnessed a remarkable improvement in the Archipelago after being adopted by Khalifa Foundation. In this regard, the Foundation constructed full power stations and replaced the overhead lines with underground cables. It delivered electricity to place that have never witnessed it.
