Today, Dexam Power launched the project to light the archipelago, with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

The project implemented by the company is to install lighting for public and main streets in the governorate, extending from the airport in the Morey area to the Hawlef area after the port, with a length of approximately 20km.

At the inauguration, the head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, said that this project was one of the most important projects that the governorate needs to illuminate its vital and main streets to give it an additional aesthetic image and preserve the safety of citizens and their property.

Al-Thaqali indicated that the project aims, in the first phase, to install lighting for a number of streets in the capital, Hadiboh, under the directives of the General Delegate of the Khalifa Foundation, who was always keen on the development and stability of the island.

Raed Al-Juraibi, the First Undersecretary of the Governorate, also stressed the importance of the project in lighting the main public streets of the capital, Hadiboh, and improving the aesthetic view of the city, which targets the first phase of the airport all the way to Hawlef.

Al-Juraibi praised the efforts of the Khalifa Foundation for the continuous development of the archipelago, including lighting the streets of the capital, Hadiboh, which is one of the projects of importance to the safety of pedestrians and vehicles, as it contributes to raising the sense of security on the island.
