Dexam Power Company handed over to the Transitional Council in Socotra Governorate the old meters withdrawn and replaced with the new electronic meters for the commercial facilities, and the number of meters handed over to the Transitional Council reached 694 meters in preparation for handing over to their owners after undertaking not to return them for use as they are damaged and invalid. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Head of Transitional Council, and Mohamed Al Ani, CEO of Dexam Power, in the presence of Sultan Ali bin Issa bin Afrar, Head of Development Committee, a number of security and military leaders in the governorate, and the special committee formed by the Transitional Council to receive the meters.
During the handover, the head of the transitional council, Rafat al-Thaqli, commended the efforts made by Dexam Power in development of power in the Governorate with the support of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to deliver electricity to the deprived areas throughout the previous years, indicating that the meters that were received today are the ones replaced by Dexam Power with new electronic meters from commercial facilities due to its old age.
