The Development Committee in the Socotra Governorate completed receiving and sorting of applications for the fourth collective wedding, which would be held by the Emirates Red Crescent with a generous support by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
The Development Committee asserted that it was concerned, in coordination with identifiers of the residential areas, with choosing 100 young men of the needy ones and who fulfilled the requirements to mitigate burdens of the wedding.
Sheikh Rashed, Identifier of Shezb, indicated that they sorted applications for the fourth collective wedding supported by the Emirates Red Crescent on Wednesday 4th of August 2021, and mentioned that the wedding would be held on the next Saturday within the fifth edition of Sheikh Zayed Festival in Nujed in Socotra.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for this humanitarian initiative that would support 200 persons by mitigating their suffering from costs of wedding.
Sheikh Ali Salem, Sheikh of Hafat, indicated that data and procedures of the fourth collective wedding have been completed, and the Committee worked on distributing number of grooms and brides among governorates.
