The United Arab Emirates continued its humanitarian efforts in the Socotra Archipelago by the hands of support in Socotra; the Emirates Red Crescent and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
Khalifa Foundation dedicated all potentials to help the people of Socotra in relation with provision of services and implementation of developmental projects, which contributed to achievement of better quality of life in Socotra.
It was worth noting that the Foundation always announced emergency in case of road blockage between the capital Hadiboh and the Western Province. The Foundation accelerated the operations in relation with sending the helicopter to check the remote areas and transport patients to the Hospital, in addition to the mobile clinic in coordination with Khalifa Hospital in Socotra.
Khalifa Foundation always focused on dedication of weekly flights to transport passengers and patients for treatment in Abu Dhabi without consideration.
Khalifa Hospital would be considered as the first hospital for most of the patients, as it provided the sufficient medical staff and specialists.
In addition, the Foundation worked on providing the hospital with high-experienced doctors, modern devices and equipment. The Foundation also launched a section to treat the critical conditions outside Socotra on expenses of Khalifa Foundation in coordination with the UAE Royal Jet and NMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
No doubt, the Royal Jet would be considered as the main transportation mean and hope for the patients and expatriates of the people of Socotra. It was worth noting that the Foundation dedicated weekly flights for transportation of patients and expatriates of the people of Socotra in addition to tourists.
NMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi used to welcome the patients from Socotra for treatment and provide them with integrated care in addition to all needs of medicine and food. Thereupon, Khalifa Foundation put love for it in hearts of people of Socotra.
