In line with the great efforts of Khalifa Foundation in controlling disease-carrying insects in Socotra, teams of Khalifa Foundation worked on spraying aerosols in streets of Qalansiyah to control mosquitoes after its spread due to accumulation of water of recent rain.
Abdel Aziz Al Nahdi, Official-in-charge of Aerosol Spraying, highlighted that spraying operation targeted high crowded places in Hadiboh and Qalansiyah to control disease-carrying insects such as mosquitoes.
This operation was in line with initiatives launched by Khalifa Foundation to control disease-carrying insects in Socotra, which was regularly carried out.
It was worth noting that there were two kinds of aerosol spraying, cold and hot spraying. The second type was the most common one, which would mix kerosene and diesel through metal heating cycle inside the spraying tank to transfer the mix into aerosol to spread into air quickly.
