People of Socotra commended the great efforts of Khalifa Foundation through construction of several tanks across the island including Salmaho and neighboring districts. The Foundation extended water pipelines to the district as an initial phase to commence operation and pumping of water to meet needs of people of Socotra.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation drilled several artesian wells by Dexam Power and Water Technology in locations suffered from lack of water. In addition, it provided such locations with pumps and solar panels to help in drawdown water to be provided the people. In this regard, people of Socotra commended the role of the United Arab Emirates for the outstanding effort in meeting requirements of people.
