On Saturday evening, the qualifiers for the golden square were completed in the football championship of the deceased Ahmed Abdullah bin Hamdoun for Socotra clubs, which was organized by the game branch in the governorate with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
This comes after Al Helal beat Al-Ahly and Al-Mina over Al-Sharq and Al-Talia over Al-Jazira with a score of 4/5 by penalty kicks, after they were tied in the original time of the match.
In the golden square, which starts in the middle of this week, Al Helal will face Al-Talia and Al-Mina with Nujed in fiery matches to qualify for the final match and enhance its chances of winning the championship title.
The quarter-final meetings witnessed a large audience from various cities and regions of Socotra to enjoy the excitement of the matches and the football creativity presented by the club’s stars that quenches the thirst of the masses thirsting for such strong football competitions.
