Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation commenced the selecting exams for bachelor degree scholarships supported by the Foundation.
An official at Khalifa Foundation said to Socotra Online that 44 male and female students, who fulfilled the requirements, applied for the exams in Hadiboh and highlighted that the applicants conducted exams in academic materials and English to be sure of their academic level.
He added that two groups were sent previously in the past two years, as the first group included 40 male and female students to UAE universities and the second group included the same number to Egyptian universities. He highlighted that the exam committee would go to Qalansiyah tomorrow to conduct exams for students in Saif bin Dizen School.
In this regard, Ashwaq Al Jamhi, Principal of Al Zahraa Secondary School, praised efforts of Khalifa Foundation and its Representative His Excellency Khalfa Al Mazrouei for support in providing scholarships for bachelor degree to the students of Socotra.
Said Saber Saad said that he hoped to be awarded the scholarship in order to help his community in the major of studying. He highlighted that there was a great competition among students for scholarship supported by Khalifa Foundation.
Student Ibrahim Mohamed Said, who graduated from Khalid bin Al Waleed Secondary School, thanked Khalifa Foundation for its concern and for providing such opportunity to the students of Socotra.
Student Ahmed Arif Said mentioned that his happiness was indescribable and expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation.
