People of 30th November Residential District in Hadiboh in Socotra Governorate witnessed a wide cleaning campaign in different districts and streets with support of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and wide participation by Development Committee, local authority, transitional council, security sector, military sector, and people.
During the campaign, in which Sultan Ali Essa bin Afrar, Head of the Development Committee and Members of the Committee participated, Raafat Al Theqali, Head of the Transitional Council, commended the continuous support by Khalifa Foundation in organizing wide cleaning campaigns in different districts in Socotra prior to the fall depression. He highlighted that these campaigns were very important in removal of plastic waste prior to seasonal storm during the following days. He also invited all people to participate in these campaigns to help in maintaining beauty of Socotra.
In turn, Ahmed Saleh, Executive Director of Cleaning Fund, highlighted that these campaigns were supported by Khalifa Foundation, and reflected the plan set by the Fund to remove all waste in different residential districts prior to fall.
Sheikh Sameh Moqbel, Identifier of 30th November, highlighted that people of Hadiboh were very happy for launch of this campaign to remove all waste from streets to revive beauty of Socotra.
