The civil defense of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in Socotra worked hard in 2020 to be highly qualified to implement any tasks to be assigned to it.
The team contributed to putting out fires in palm gardens, commercial shops and other cases. In addition, the team helped in raising awareness of people of different classes in relation with risks of fires and necessary measures.
During 2020, team of civil defense concerned with promoting its qualification to monitor any risk on the Island in relation with crises and hurricanes.
The civil defense team implemented a sterilizing campaigns in Socotra International Airport and number of corporations on the Island to prevent people from COVID -19.
Furthermore, the civil defense team conducted several qualifying courses for local employees to rebuild the civil defense and activate the new firefighting points. It also ensured discharge of ships in Socotra port and preparation of firefighting vehicles to be ready for any emergencies.
