Yesterday, Friday 30th of July 2021 in Zayed City 1 in South Socotra, the camels decoration competition was held within events of the 5th Edition of Sheikh Zayed Festival.
Anbar Al Amri, Head of Events in Sheikh Zayed Festival, asserted that this edition would be distinguishable, as the number of competitors would be 180 competitors from different locations across the Socotra Archipelago. This would reflect success of the event during the previous edition. It would witness more enthusiasm and interest.
The winner/ Sheikh Suliman Abdullah, Senior Sheikh of Socotra, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for holding such events and festivals that would promote heritage and culture of Socotra.
In turn, Salem Ahmed Saeed, who came in the second position, commended the great effort afforded by Khalifa Foundation in organizing this competition.
Mazen Ahmed Essa, who came in the third position, thanked Khalifa Foundation and the United Arab Emirates for the great support in all fields of life.
Furthermore, Sheikh Ghanem Saeed Al Zahqi, Identifier of Nujed, thanked the United Arab Emirates for such opportunity of revival of heritage of Socotra.
