Over years, the United Arab Emirates used to promote education sector in the Socotra Archipelago as one of the most important essentials that would support life in Socotra.
The United Arab Emirates, through its humanitarian arm “Emirates Red Crescent”, concerned with establishment of Ataya Model Primary School.
Ataya Model School is considered as a distinguishable educational institution under supervision of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation that concerned with supporting education in Socotra in addition to supervision of the Education office in Socotra. The school was opened during the academic year 2019 -2020 with one academic year “first primary stage” with total (81) students that were accepted after successfully passing the interview.
Since opening the school, Ataya Model School concerned with improvement of students in respect of innovation, creativity, social skills and mental skills. It also concerned with promoting ethics and good behaviors to build successful generation that would help Socotra to have better quality of life.
The school depends on distinguishable administrative and teaching staff with support of Khalifa Foundation to support students and build better generation.
