Last Thursday, Ataya Model School for Primary Education in Socotra Governorate organized a ceremony honoring the top students and handing over certificates for all its stages for the past academic year 2020-2021, with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation.
In the ceremony, which began with verses from the Holy Quran, the school principal, Amal Saeed, welcomed the Director General of the Education Office, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Khaled, the Director of the Education Office in Hadibo District, Mr. Fouad Ali Saeed, and the parents to share the joy of their children in this ceremony, which culminates their efforts during the last academic year.
Saeed stressed that Ataya School is always keen on continuing its scientific excellence and developing it to build a generation that has the basics that will enable it to pass advanced scientific stages with distinction, which reflects positively on the island’s future and its renaissance.
Saeed thanked the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works for its continuous support to the school and its various activities, which was the mainstay for the success of the school’s educational process and maintaining its distinction.
At the conclusion of her speech, Saeed congratulated the first students for their scientific excellence, wishing them and their colleagues permanent success in achieving high scientific ranks.
For their part, the first students expressed their joy at being honored after a full year of effort and determination in academic achievement and obtaining advanced positions at the school and governorate levels, appreciating the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation for sponsoring the honoring ceremony as well as the activities and events held by the school and this is the best evidence of the Foundation’s interest in education upgrading its outputs in Socotra and encouraging students to strive and compete to reach advanced scientific ranks.
Therefore, the Director General of Education and the Principal of the School honored the top students with certificates and in-kind prizes to encourage their efforts and excellence during the past academic year 2020-2021.
The ceremony included theatrical performances and singing performances by the students of the school in celebration of the occasion, which culminates in a general work of effort and perseverance.
