The UAE vessel “Takreem” arrived to Holf Port in Socotra yesterday (Saturday). It had a load of petroleum products and diesel for electric stations in addition to food assistance to all people of Socotra in line with the efforts of the UAE in revival of life in the Socotra Archipelago.
Mr. Mohamed Al Dexami, Former Director General of Governor’s Office, asserted that the UAE efforts in Socotra were significant, as the UAE used to help people of Socotra in all fields. He added that arrival of the UAE vessel “Takreem” to Socotra Port would help in eliminating people’s suffering from lack of diesel, which would operate the electricity stations. This asserted that the UAE was the main supporter to Socotra. He also thanked the UAE for the great effort.
Mr. Osan Jamaan Siouffi, identifier of the Eastern Coastline, commended the continuous UAE contributions while supporting people of Socotra. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the UAE for the great effort in helping people of Socotra.
The vessel arrived within the arrival of the other UAE vessel a week ago, which had the load of petroleum products and which faced the bad weather of the seasonal storms in Socotra.
