Yesterday, the University of Socotra organized two scientific lectures on the importance of environment protection, children’s health and psychological conditions, with the participation of university faculty and students.
The first lecture on the importance of environment protection was presented by the foreign researcher in environmental affairs, which touched on the experiences of some countries in protecting the environment and the success achieved in it.
It discussed how to benefit from the experiences of countries and work to apply them in the Socotra archipelago, which has a natural environment that needs to be protected and preserved from tampering and improper use.
In addition, Dr. Amal Al-Shatry, Lecturer at Sheikh Zayed University, gave a lecture on children’s health, psychological conditions, how to deal with children with special needs, and the protection of family interaction with children. .
In addition to the social changes that can be presented to the psychiatric patient in order to improve the quality of life for them, including improving sleep, sports and food, as they are greatly helpful in treating psychiatric patients, especially children.
The President of the University of Socotra, Dr. Nadim Al-Ezaibi, said that the university is hosting researchers from outside Socotra today in the environmental aspect, as well as in the aspect of child health and psychological conditions, which comes within the university’s annual scientific plans.
He pointed out that the two lectures witnessed a distinguished interaction and discussion from the university’s faculty and students.
The students praised the efforts of the university’s management and their keenness to organize such lectures and seminars with the participation of experts and researchers from around the world, stressing that they benefited from the two lectures and empowered them in how to preserve the environment, as well as introducing them to how to deal with children and their special needs.
