Approval of 65 Residential Units and Group of Developmental Projects and Humanitarian Assistance on Abd Al Kuri Island

The team of Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent visited Abd Al Kuri to check the needs for the island and approval of the developmental and service projects as required to the people of the Island, with instructions of His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Representative of Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent.

During the visit, the team approved 65 residential units construction project in Abd Al Kuri, governmental compound, 4 schools consisting of 4 classes across 4 villages on the Island, central school to be configured in Khaisat Saleh village, refurbishment of 5 mosques, configuration of the medical center, maintenance of the solar power station, qualification and maintenance of water desalination station, and addition of 2 power generators.

The team provided the people with food and shelter materials in addition to 12 gasoline and diesel to support the people of Abd Al Kuri in addition to the financial assistance to the elderly, widows and people with determination.

Furthermore, a medical team came to Abd Al Kuri in order to carry out routine vaccination process for the children, women and pregnant women in coordination with Khalifa Hospital.

Sheikh Ghalib, representative of Abd Al Kuri, assured that this visit was positive, as we received land spaces to build 65 residential units, schools, mosques and medical centers with support of the Emirates Red Crescent.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates, its hand of Humanitarian activities, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Emirates Red Crescent for the support to the people of Abd Al Kuri Island and approval of group of developmental, service and humanitarian projects.

The people of Abd Al Kuri expressed their happiness and praised the efforts of the United Arab Emirates by Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent.
