The United Arab Emirates has not spare an effort in support the Socotra Archipelago through its hand of charity Emirates Red Crescent and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, as it afforded all efforts for development and improvement of the Island to keep up with era of technology and development.
Citizens, residents and visitors to the Island would notice the presence of the United Arab Emirates in all fields through Khalifa Foundation, which provided the people with services, needs and concern with customs, habits and cultural heritage as well as supporting the youth, clubs, women associations, fishermen, and farmers.
Socotra Online was always present to reflect impression and feedback of people of Socotra in relation with support by UAE to the people of Socotra. Mr. Ali Faisal Al Basiri mentioned that the United Arab Emirates has been proactive in all charity and humanitarian works, which would benefit all people across the Island. He also highlighted that services and life requirements have been the main concern of Khalifa Foundation in relation with improvement and development of the Socotra Archipelago.
He also commended the workshop held in headquarters of Sultan bin Ali Essa bin Afrar, in which people were acquainted with achievements of the United Arab Emirates using statistics. In addition, he expressed his appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for the great effort in all fields.
Sheikh Rashed Abas Al Shazabi asserted that the people of Socotra were happy for the presence of UAE in Socotra to help the people and contribute to meeting prospects as well as facing the hard circumstances in Socotra. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for the afforded effort in all fields.
In turn, Sheikh Saleh Malek commended the role of Khalifa Foundation through implementation of different developmental projects to promote and develop the Socotra Archipelago.
