With sponsorship of Education Office in Socotra Archipelago and support of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, events of the open day and school exhibition in Al Zahraa Female Secondary School launched today on Wednesday.
During the opening, the Governor of Socotra welcomed the presenting individuals, especially representatives of Khalifa Foundation, the main supporter of the open day and school exhibition.
Mr. Fouad Ali Said, Director of Education Office in Hadiboh, confirmed in his statement that the Education Office would afford all efforts and capabilities to support the school as assigned by the Education Office in Socotra including these activities with direct support by Khalifa Foundation.
Mr. Mohamed Moaz Salem, Principal of Al Zahraa Secondary School, highlighted that these activities were in line with the administrative plan set by the Education Office in Hadiboh and Socotra. It was an annual tradition with great importance to strengthen skills of students. He also highlighted that these artistic works aimed at encouraging creativity and achievement among students.
In this regard, Mr. Mohamed Al Shahari, School Activities Official at Education Office in Socotra, assured that the Office targeted selected schools including Al Zahraa and Khalid ibn Al Waleed in addition to Ataya, Hafeg, 30 November, and Salah Al Den in order to launch the open day and school exhibition to recognize creativities and achievements of males and female students.
Student Lina Arif expressed her happiness for participation in this event with some drawings and wished that this would last to be held annually, as it would help in highlighting creative works of the students.
