Al Sharq Club won the third place in the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Football Championship for Socotra Clubs, after its victory yesterday evening over Nujed Club 4/5 by penalty kicks, after their positive tie with a goal for each of them in the match to determine the position.
The first half of the meeting witnessed an offensive progress for the two teams, during which Al Sharq managed to advance in the 17th minute through its attacker Ali Sharaf, before Nujed adjusted the score in the 27th minute, who carried the signature of his player Issa Ghaleb to end the first half with a positive tie, goal for goal. In the second half, the result did not change despite the two teams’ attempts and their continuous attacks, to rule the match for penalty kicks, in which Al Sharq managed to bypass Nujed 4/5 and win the championship bronze and crown its efforts throughout the championship period.
