Al Juhaini tribe in the Qebhattan District in west of Socotra, organized a stand of thanks and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its efforts in supporting the people of the island in all service, development and social fields, as well as heritage and entertainment festivals.
Where this stand comes to the tribe as a response to the loyalty of sons of Sheikh Zayed, the man of charity, for their humanitarian initiatives with the people of Socotra and the organization of the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, which had a special character in restoring the ancient Socotra heritage through its various activities, especially the Socotra poet competition, which brought back many of the customs and traditions that Characterized by Socotra in ancient times.
In this regard, the Al Juhaini tribe expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and its general representative, who always paid great attention to the island and its people to alleviate their suffering and improve their standard of living.
Sheikh Suleiman Ahmed Rozaq, the sheikh of eight tribes in the Qebhattan Center, spoke to Socotra Online, saying that we in the Al Juhaini tribe organized today a stand of loyalty to the UAE, in addition to our celebration of our poet Abdullah Muslim Al-Juhaini winning the title of the Poet of Socotra competition.
Colonel Abdullah Saeed indicated that we were pleased today with the participation of the Al-Juhaini tribe to celebrate the victory of their poet in the first place in the Socotra poetry competition, which was organized by the Khalifa Foundation in the Fifth Edition of the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, which also witnessed a pause of loyalty to the Emirates for all the support it provides to the island, which included many sectors, and added to the UAE an active role in encouraging Socotra talents in all fields, including sports, art, Socotri poetry, and restoring Socotra’s beautiful past.
The stand included poetic passages in the Socotra language by the poet who won first place in the Poet of Socotra Competition for the year 2021, the poet Abdullah Muslim Shenhi, in which he described the life of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the great credit that the rulers of the UAE provide to the Socotra Archipelago for their diverse, healthy and therapeutic service support, which was It has a positive impact in helping the islanders and lifting their previous suffering.
