Al-Jazira Club succeeded in reaching the final match of the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Football Championship, after passing yesterday evening against Nujed Club in the semi-final match with a score of 5/6 on penalty kicks, after their goalless draw in the original time.
Al-Jazira will book a date with Al-Hilal, who qualified yesterday against Al-Sharq, in the final of the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Football Championship next Friday at Sheikh Zayed City Stadium 1 in Satorah.
Al-Jazira and Al-Hilal had qualified from the third group for the quarter-final stage of the tournament, to meet for the second time in the final, after Al-Jazira won the first match in the group competitions with two goals to one.
Meanwhile, Al-Sharq and Nujed will meet in the match to determine the third place in the championship next Thursday, amid great preparation of them to get the position to satisfy their sad fans after their exit from the semi-finals.
The match was refereed by Ammar Sabab Square, assisted by Khaled Thani, Mukhtar Mohamed, Khamis Sheikhan, fourth referee, Ismail Mohamed, referees observer, and Fayez Abdullah watched the match.
The match was attended by Ahmed Hazoum, Head of Football Association in Socotra; Saleh Ali Mohsen, Secretary General; the members of the Salma bin Qabalan; Fouad Ali, Director of Education Office in Hadiboh; Muhammad Ali and Ahmed Abdullah Salim, Presidents of Al-Jazira and Nujed Clubs; Iskandar Mohamed Thani, Secretary of Al-Jazira Club; number of sports and social figures; and a large crowd of fans.
