Al Ahli was awarded as the champion of the Football Champion in Zayed City 1 for 2020 after being on the top with 13 points and 2 points difference from Al Yarmook, which was on the second place. Al Majd was on the third place with balance of 5 points.
The Championship, which lasted for 20 days and with participation of 7 teams, aimed at motivating the sport and youth movements in the city in addition to helping the youth in utilizing their spare time and exercising sports.
Mohamed Thani, President of Nujed Club; Salmi Qablan and Mohamed Al Shakel, members of Football Assocation; and Abdullah Musalam, Sheikh of Zayed City 1, honored the referee, Abdullah Thani, Al Ahli Club with golden medals and championship cup, Al Yarmook with silver medals and second place cup, and Al Majd with bronze medals and third place cup.
Said Mohamed Agazan, player of Al Ahli Club, was honored as the best player. AbdelRahman Salem, Player of Al Malek, was honored as the perfect player, Abdullah Ibrahim Agazan, goalkeeper of Al Yarmook, as the best goalkeeper, and AbdelRahman Abdullah Reqaba, as the highest scorer of the Championship with 7 goals.
During the honoring ceremony, Salmi Salem bin Qablan, member at Football Association, expressed his greetings to Ahmed Hazoom, President of Office, and Saleh Ali, Secretary General, and assured the importance of these activities and championships to improve skills of the youth in football.
He also commended the outstanding performance of teams and youth of Zayed City 1 in general for this successful championship, as these would have great role in the near future.
Mohamed Thani, President of Nujed Club, welcomed the audience and highlighted that the Championship was one of the best activities that were organized in the Club.
