In line with the humanitarian and developmental initiatives supported by Khalifa Foundation in the Socotra Archipelago, the Foundation supported the agriculture sector through provision of different needs of farms from wrapping and packing to pesticides and vaccines. In addition, it was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation had many contributions in agriculture sector including purchasing dates from the farmers, packaging the products in the factory of Khalifa Foundation and selling it in the local market. Mr. Hasan Al Qaisi, Sheikh of Al Qaisi Tribe, mentioned that Khalifa Foundation has supported the Socotra Archipelago in different developmental and humanitarian fields, especially the agriculture sector, which led to a quality transformation in the Socotra Archipelago. He also commended role of Khalifa Foundation and agriculture team for the great effort to improve the agriculture sector in Socotra.
In turn, Mr. Hamza Al Qaisi asserted that the farmers worked on caring for dates after purchasing dates for proper prices. This was considered as a good indication to increase opportunities of production during the following years.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for the great support and encouragement.
Farmer/ Essa Salem mentioned that people were happy for purchasing products by Khalifa Foundation, and thanked Khalifa Foundation for concerning with dates.
