The football championship of the deceased Ahmed Abdullah bin Hamdoun for Socotra clubs continues with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

In the second group, Al Jazira Club topped its group with 9 points collected from three consecutive victories over Radfan with three clean goals, Al Wahda with a single goal and the public with three clean points. Al Sharq topped the third group competitions with 4 points collected from a tie in the first round with Al-Ahly Club and its victory yesterday evening against Al-Sadd by three goals to two goals, while Al-Sadd remained with three points after its victory over the two brothers in the previous round. Al-Ahly comes in the third level with a point from its tie with Al Sharq in the match This evening, Thursday, Al-Ahly and Dam Al-Akhwain face each other at the conclusion of the second round of the group, which more clearly shows the classification of the group’s teams into the round.

Al-Talih Club topped Group D by defeating Al-Ain in the first round with three goals to one, with a goal difference from Nujed, who defeated Al-Nassr with a single goal.

The group will launch the second round of competitions on Friday with the meeting between Nujed and Al-Ain, and will conclude on Saturday with the match between Al-Nasr and Al-Talia.

The tournament’s competitions received a large public follow-up and the emergence of an improved technical level for sports clubs with the efforts and support of the Khalifa Foundation, which was keen to continue the sports activity of Al-Jazira clubs and to meet the desire of young people and athletes in this regard.
