The medical services provided by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital during 2020 were 233470 services of different kinds in addition to transporting 180 critical patients to be treated in the United Arab Emirates on expenses of Khalifa Foundation.
An official at Khalifa Foundation highlighted that the Hospital provided several medical services during 2020, which effectively contributed to treatment of thousands of patients and ending their suffering.
The official mentioned that 233470 medical services were provided during 2020 of different kinds as follows: (97154) medical examination and (579) blood transfusion, which benefited (27157) patients.
He added that the Hospital conducted (720) surgeries, while the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department received (1086) cases including (830) normal and (256) caesarean birth delivery.
He also mentioned that there (699) hemodialysis for 19 patients and the specialized outpatients received (39451) patients in addition to (5045) beneficiary of mobile clinics.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Hospital was considered as the main hospital in Socotra that provided people of Socotra with different medical services, and it was configured with state-of-art devices and equipment supported by Khalifa Foundation to help people of Socotra.
