The dialysis unit at Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in Socotra continued to provide high medical care for kidney patients in accordance with international standards in dialysis, while providing all advanced treatments and diagnostics for patients.
It is noteworthy that the dialysis unit was opened with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to alleviate the suffering of the people of Socotra in traveling and sitting outside their island to receive treatment and dialysis sessions, which cost them a lot of effort and money during the previous period.
Where the unit provides 60 sessions per month for 8 patients dealing with the people of the island according to the schedule specified for each patient with the application of all preventive and precautionary measures recommended globally in order to preserve the safety of patients, and to ensure that the auditors wear masks, with the application of physical distancing.
The hospital was keen to establish a kidney unit for the first time on the island and provided it with modern medical equipment to provide all medical and health care to all patients without resorting to previous travel hardships.
