Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation provided support in different fields in Socotra, while education and knowledge were the main fields, which reflected the aspects of development supported by the United Arab Emirates in the Archipelago. The education sector witnessed many achievements and projects as infrastructure on the Island.
Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation entered a mutual cooperation agreement with City University College in the Emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates aiming at providing scholarships for the students of Socotra.
This agreement was within the strategic plan that His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei concerned with its implementation in order to promote cooperation between education institutions aiming at availing education to all people of Socotra and enable students to study scientific majors that help them in developing their country.
This agreement would have a great role in promoting vision and objectives of Khalifa Foundation in Education and improvement of students’ skills in different majors.
Students had the right to enroll in bachelor degree programs in five majors: finance, accounting, human resources, information management and host management.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation held a meeting with families residing in UAE and graduates of secondary schools to acquaint them with requirements last May.
