The UAE ship in Socotra discharged its load of home gas and petroleum products in addition to other developmental and relief aids.
An official at Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation highlighted that the ship discharged its load including large number of tanks of petroleum products and home gas to meet needs of the Socotra Archipelago during autumn, ensure stability, avoid any crises, and accelerate development process.
He added that the ship arrived at the end of the last week, which was largely welcomed by the people of Socotra, as it was a sign of hope to the people. In addition, Khalifa Foundation was always concerned with setting up developmental and supplying plans to meet needs of people of Socotra as part of its humanitarian activity in Yemen during this exceptional condition.
The role of Khalifa Foundation and its great concern with meeting requirements of the people was an essential matter to the Governorate. It was largely welcomed by the people of Socotra, as it made them feel comfort and overcome concerns in relation with the autumn, in which they face annual climate fluctuations.
