As part of its keenness to raise the leadership competencies in the governorate, the University of Socotra yesterday launched the second session of the administrative level of the Leadership Development Program on the island, with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The course, which lasts about two months, will be attended by 26 participants from the leaders of the local authority and the executive offices in the governorate, with the aim of raising their abilities in the areas of management, English language and computer.
The organization of the course comes in light of the Khalifa Foundation’s keenness and interest in rehabilitating the leadership of institutional work on the island and raising their practical efficiency through the lectures it contains in management, as well as in computers and the English language.
The university celebrated the graduation of the first batch of leaders preparation course last week and honored the graduates with certificates of passing the administrative level.
The university will organize a course to prepare leaders at the leadership level for graduates from the administrative level courses during the coming period to better develop their leadership skills.
The inauguration of the course was attended by Dr. Nadim Al-Uzaibi, President of the University, and a number of general managers of the executive offices in the Governorate.
