The pavilion of the University of Socotra Archipelago at the Sultan Ali bin Essa bin Afrar Festival was very popular with the festival’s visitors to learn about the university’s academic activity and its various qualifying programs.
The university administration was keen to participate in a pavilion in the Bin Afrar Festival to inform the people of the province and visitors about the activities of the university, which was opened this year by the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training No. (5), where the university included the College of Computer and Information and the College of Administration and Economics.
The university’s faculty member, Dr. Tariq Saeed, said that the university’s pavilion at the festival worked on presenting the stages of its establishment, its objectives, its ministerial statement, its official opening, the scientific disciplines that it started in the first academic year and the qualifying programs implemented by the university to develop the capabilities of the island’s people. He pointed out that the pavilion is also Provide a variety of books to enable visitors to view what the university library contains of scientific and cultural books that help researchers and students to get what they want from references.
Student Saeed Abdul Rahman, a member of the university team participating in the pavilion, said that he was pleased with the turnout enjoyed by the pavilion from visitors to the festival, as we provided them with an explanation about the university from the foundation stage, in addition to introducing them to the courses taught in the university’s faculties and the most important courses held at the university to serve the socotri community.
In turn, the student, Somaya Muhammad Sioufi, praised the role of the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation in organizing such festivals that preserve the Socotra heritage and the role of the organizers of the Sultan Ali Essa bin Afrar Festival, who provided a valuable opportunity for the University of the Socotra Archipelago to introduce visitors to the university.
