Ataya Model School organized the first school exhibition sponsored by the Office of the Ministry of Education in Socotra and supported by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. The exhibited materials were fascinating for all visitors, as there were dimensional models and creative drawings that impressed the visitors.
Outstanding Efforts
Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Director of the Office of the Ministry of Education in Socotra, praised the role of the administration of Ataya Model School and teaching staff in strengthening and improving skills and abilities of students through encouraging them to participate in the annual exhibition activities. He suggested that he would dedicate a corner for Ataya Model School students’ activities in the public exhibition to be held for all schools.
Capability Improvement
Ms. Aml Said Saad, Principal of Ataya Model School, expressed her thanks to the Office of the Ministry of Education in Socotra and Directorate of Education in Hadiboh for their concern with the events of the first school exhibition in Ataya School. It showed their concern with improvement of students’ capabilities in all schools, especially student of Ataya School, as they were in the first phase of their educational path. She added that the support of Khalifa Foundation was the reason for showing such efforts of students, males and females, of Ataya School, and praised such support.
Creativity and Fascination
Director of school activities in the Office of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Ahmed Al Shahari, ascertained that there was a necessity for such events in order to strengthen students’ talents and capabilities. He highlighted that the first school exhibition in Ataya Model School was within the events in many schools across the Governorate. He mentioned that the most distinguishable matter about the exhibition in Ataya School was the activities made by the 1st grade students, males and females, which fascinated us as they included drawings and dimensional models of landmarks of Socotra Archipelago.
Active Learning
Dr. Hamdi Al Tantawi, Supervisor of education process in Ataya School, mentioned in his statement that the School used the active learning aiming at improvement of creative thinking and problem solving skills. He expressed his thanks to Khalifa Foundation for its support and concern with all activities and sector of education in order to develop all aspects of the Island.

Mr. Khalid Abdulmotelib expressed his thanks to Khalifa Foundation for its support and concern with all schools and mentioned that the first school exhibition in Ataya School was fascinating and well-arranged, which showed students’ creativity and highlighted the developed level of the people and students of Socotra.
