Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation laid foundation for electricity line of 7k capacity for Delisha and neighboring villages.
The people expressed their happiness and joy for this great project, which was considered as one of the necessary projects for the people of Socotra. It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation provided this district with water before.
Socotra Online met Mr. Salem Daheq, Member at Development Committee, who said that the United Arab Emirates provided Socotra with various developmental projects in order to provide a tangible developmental reality.
Sheikh Khamis Ahmed Mohamed expressed his thanks to Khalifa Foundation for this service that they had been waited for a long time.
Sheikh Salem Malek Mousa mentioned group of services provided by the United Arab Emirates to Socotra, and assured that this project was vital and important to Delisha district and its neighboring districts.
Mohamed Essa Abdullah, one of citizens of these villages, said that his happiness was indescribable and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for support to Socotra. He said that this was not new, since the Island and UAE had a long history of fraternity.
Sultan Al Kaabi, Head of Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation in Socotra, Director of Dexim Power and Water Technology, Engineer Yasser Al Aani; and group of people attended laying of foundation.
