With support of the Emirates Red Crescent, Raid Al Juraibi, Senior Deputy Governor, with Said Al Kaabi, Representative of the Emirates Red Crescent, opened 46 residential units in Zahiq and Dafarhwa districts in Zayed City 2.
The opened residential units were within the project of Zayed City 2 implemented by the Emirates Red Crescent for the people harmed due to tropical depression in Zahiq and Dafarhwa districts, with the provision of the essential services needed for the people. The residential units were designed in a civilized way through arrangement of service, vital and entertainment projects.
In the launch ceremony, Raid Al Jubairi praised the efforts of the Emirates Red Crescent in helping the people of Zahiq and Dafarhwa districts, who were harmed due to the tropical depression in the Governorate during the past time, in provision of secure shelter.
He highlighted that the continuous humanitarian activities in Socotra showed the distinguished position of the UAE leaders aiming at development of Socotra.
Sheikh Ghanem Al Zahqi, Identifier of Nujed districts, expressed his thanks to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates for their effort towards the people of Zahiq and Dafarhwa districts, and highlighted that the people expressed their happiness and joy for receiving the units.
Saleh Moaz, Identifier of Dafarhwa district, mentioned that the people were very happy for opening these residential units supported by the Emirates Red Crescent.
The ceremony of opening the residential units in Zayed City 2 was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Musa Ahmed, Director General of Political Security, Abdul Salam Al Jamhi, Director General of Facilities, Abdel Alim Ahmed, Director of Social Affairs, Sheikh Ali bin Essa bin Afrar, and group of security officers, social figures and sheikhs. The ceremony included group of heritage artistic shows, which showed the happiness of the people for such vital residential project.
